My new house is the only finished house on a new street and the post office doesn't even know the street exists! It's really annoying having websites and stuff tell me my address does not exist because I assure you it does. I did a change of address on may 21 to the new address and the post office still doesn't know where it is. I had to get them to hold my mail and the street isn't even in their list of new streets. When I go to pick up the mail it takes them like 5 minutes to figure out where it is because they can't figure out who the carrier is. Conclusion: the post office is dumb.

I live in a rural area where we don't have mailboxes so I have to use the post office. I adore them, I guess it is different when you are in a tiny town. I do hate that companies tell me they are sending it out UPS so I give them my physical to just find out they are sending it USPS. I am more annoyed with the companies then the post office!

I used to have a post office box in a small town where I lived for awhile in Vermont. I loved walking to the post office and checking my box. So, I, too, have a soft spot for the post office. However, anytime there is a huge government agency you have a problem with, you can be assured that it won't be solved anytime soon!
