Someone in our community died recently after going to a nail salon. What's up with that?

It was probably a bacterial infection. If the tools aren't cleaned properly, you can get a really bad infection that sometimes lead to death. Best to avoid wherever she went!

I think it's best to avoid them all altogether! It's almost impossible to tell which items have been cleaned and which haven't. Short of taking your own tools and foot bath for a pedicure, there really is no way to be safe with nail salons.
