I am sitting here, half typing, half watching The Cosby Show. I don't think there will ever be a better sitcom! I think this show defined sit coms and no one has lived up to it since.

I totally agree. Maybe it's just because Cosby was on during my growing up years, but I love that show. I always wanted to live with parents who were that great and understanding. Now, if only I could parent my own children the way they did!

I totally disagree! I think that Cosby defined sitcoms for its time, but I think that Friends took it to a whole new level. Although it was idealized in a lot of ways, it did deal with more "real" issues that Cosby did.

Since I'm older, I guess I don't have those same attachments. I remember more of the early 80's shows like Dallas and Dukes of Hazard rather than the late 80's/early 90's.
