What's going on w/ the South Korean oil spill? Any word on what caused it?

Apparently, a crane barge being pulled by a tug smashed into a crude carrier. Unfortunately, about 10,000 tons of oil spilled into the sea. As large as this spill is, it's still only about 1/3 the size of the Exxon Valdez spill.

We so need to find an alternative fuel source! I hear we have the technology, but it isn't getting done for some reason. I wonder when we'll wake up and really take control of this oil situation?
