What is the best way to find a reproduction of a piece of art that I could buy for my home? Does anyone have a good way they know of to do this?

Hi, Sarah.  As an artist, I can tell you that we appreciate your patronage.  To answer your question, it depends on the piece.  If it's already a famous piece, you have one set of options.  If it's privately owned, you have another option.  If it's not commercial, you may have to work to get it.

What is the piece, and do you have a version to show me?  Who is the artist?  When was it done?

Bei

I don't really have anything specific in mind. Honestly, I would base my decision more on color and subject so that it would fit in a room in my house. Probably not what an artist wants to hear, but coming from a decorating stand point, it makes the most since. Not that I would buy something that wasn't visually appealing to me, but it would have to fit the other criteria as well.

I guess I would narrow it down to an artist or picture that I liked and then looked for an artist that did reproductions.  Check out flea markets and antique stores for some good reprosuctions with a little history behind them.
