I usually do holiday baking to give to friends, teachers, etc. But, one of the people I usually bake for was recently diagnosed with diabetes. What should I do for that person? I obviously can't give her a tin of cookies!

If you want to get her something food related, you could give her something like almonds. They are good for things like diabetes as well as any heart condition she may have.

If you want to do something that isn't food related, you could get her a subscription to a health magazine intended for those with diabetes. It would be more expensive, but it would be very thoughtful.

What a wonderful world

I think it would be nice to make a couple meals that can be frozen so that way the family can easily pop them in the oven.  I know when my mother was sick and I was younger it really helped the few days that families came over with cooking.  I hardly had time to get everything else done, watch my sibs and still have time to cook for all of them.
