Does anyone's gym make you use sanitizer wipes on the machines and weights when you finish using them? I thought those things made bacteria resistant to being killed by anitbacterial stuff if you use it too much.

That's what I heard, too. I think that they are trying to prevent people from getting staph infections. Someone at my gym got one and actually died from it.

When not used properly the soaps and wipes can add to the resistance of bacteria, but think about all the stuff that is on there and can easly be removed with a quick wipedown.

You workout and you sweat and you touch everything, I am very clean and like everything around me to be clean.  I would use them more for a clean factor, dont want to touch a sticky sweaty piece of equipment after someone else.

Curves doesnt require you to use them but I wish they would.  Some of those machines get nasty after so many women have been on them.

THe last time I went to a gym they didnt make you use them on the equipment but they did on the mats. Now I bring my own mat though.
