I know money isn't supposed to make a difference if you really like someone, but I know a lot of people who date guys just because they have money. 

What do you do when you do start dating a guy who is richer, but don't care about his money and everyone else around you starts making him think that is the only reason you are dating him? 

Thats all I can figure too, but it was his friends who were already married, so its not like they wanted to split us up so they could be together.

It is just hard though because it puts unneeded stress on the relationship before it even has the chance to form all the way.  It will always be there now. 

I agree.  You really do need to take time with him and if you need to talk it out, address his fears, your concerns, etc.  I know it's hard and it's not a pretty topic anyone wants to talk about, but sometimes those are really the best conversations you can have.  It might be hard at first, but how much of a relief is it get them out in the open, put it behind, and just do the "I love you" thing.
