Has anyone ever done any walks or runs for charity? My friends are thinking of doing Relay for Life and I want to join in but don't know that I will be able to do so much walking.
Is it really a relay? And how much walking does each person have to do?
What other types of charity walks are out there or have you done?
I did a 5 and 10 K last summer. They are not so bad as long as you work up to them and choose a distance that is managable. My friend tried to do a marathon run with only a weeks worth of training and she pooped out less than half way.
I have done a marathon with the National Aids Foundation and I loved it. It took a lot of training and dedication and it was hard but I am so glad I got through it.
Besides that the only other thing I have done is a walk a thon for the kids school. Basically you walked and got people to pledge.
I haven't done any yet, but my sister is trying to get me to do the Avon walk with her. It is supposed to be a sixty hour thing I think. Not looking forward to it, but it is for a good cause.

Finding my muse
I did a couple charity walks when I was younger but I wouldnt be able to finish one now. I guess I could volunteer behind the scenes though since they are usually for a really good cause.
