Has anyone else here adopted or thought about adopting?

I know the prices are really high, but there are several ways to do it if you really want to.  Also, it can sometimes be more affordable to adopt children from an orphanage overseas than here in the states.  

Adoption is a really big step and you are right it is not always easy or affordable.  My sister tried adopting a couple times but after the process fell through a couple times they stopped.  They got attached to the babies only to have the mother decide that she didnt want to go through with the adoption after all.  It takes a lot in many ways.
