What is the best way to clean tarnished bangles and rings at home.  I have never bought a product, but I remember my grams always doing it at home just cant remember what she used.

I'm thinking of something for gold and silver.

I know I read somewhere that baking soda is supposed to work.  I think my mom used toothpaste to clean tarnished silver and it made it shine, try one with baking soda in the toothpaste.

Buy one of those jewelry cleaner solutions from walmart or any drugstore for the best results.  They only cost a couple bucks and get the job done really quick. You just need to either rub it into your jewelry or drop your jewelry into the solution and let it do the work.

Ketchup works too. Just glop a little on your jewelry and rub with a soft cloth. Use an old toothbrush to get into filigree or behind stones. Be gentle if your piece is delicate. Rinse with water and dry it out. Be careful with jewelry. Some may damage certain stones (pearls especially)and you don't want to wreck a favorite piece!
