What do you guys think of McCain's gas tax break proposal? 

I like the idea of gas getting cheaper over the summer, but I disagree with the proposal. I dont think it will help stimulate the economy and it wont make the entire situation any better like he claims.  The thing that needs to happen is we, as a country, need to reduce the amount of gas we use.  That is why the price for gas keeps climbing, simple supply and demand.

The tax break is just political junk.  It wont actually help because the tax does not totally correspond to price.  So if they cut the tax, gas prices could go up.  Obama made a good point.  He said he tried it in Illinois a few years ago and it didnt work.
