What is the longest amount of time you can get away with keeping a bra? Does it lose function as it gets older?

I've never heard anything official on it, but I would think you would have to replace them at least once a year. Fabrics have come a long way, but nothing is going to completely hold its shape when it is  competing with gravity every day!

Yeah, and if you wash and dry them, the life is even shorter. To extend the life as long as possible, hand wash them and let them drip dry.

The longest I have kept mine and was still happy with it was about six months.  I hand wash mine too, but they don't hold as good as they did when I first got them and I need support.
